The Inaoi River, developed through the efforts of Tsuto Nitobe and others, has brought prosperity to Towada and stands today as a symbol of the city.
On a quiet summer night, lanterns carrying messages of gratitude and hope are floated down its waters.
Whether you wish to honor your ancestors, pray for business success, or hope for success in exams, you are invited to take part by entrusting your wishes to a lantern and sending it on its way.
