Oirase & Yakeyama

Oirase Gorge is surrounded by deep natural forest. There, a dynamic landscape created by the ever-changing flow of water unfolds. The cliffs that approach both sides of the river are called molten tuff produced by heat and own weight due to the accumulation of pumice and volcanic ash at high temperatures, bringing an impression to the landscape of Oirase. In the Yakeyama district, which is the gateway, there is the Oirase Keiryu Onsen Ski Resort. As soon as you slide down, the hot spring village is right in front of you, and access not only to Oirase but also to downtown Towada and Lake Towada is convenient.
