From the Meiji era through World War II, Towada was home to a military horse breeding station, and even today, its citizens still feel close to horses.
In this very city, the World Yabusame Championship takes place, where riders and horses perform dynamic mounted archery in perfect harmony.
At the venue, you can also enjoy hands-on experiences such as archery and horseback riding, along with a variety of food stalls.
Come and feel Towada’s history and the charm of horses in the “Land of Horses.”
