After the cherry blossom season in central Towada, moss phlox begins to bloom in Yakeyama.
At Oirase gorge Onsen Ski Resort, about 120,000 moss phlox plants cover the ski slope in a vibrant display, spreading across a 30-meter-wide and 430-meter-long area.
In striking contrast to the snowy landscapes of winter, this vivid display of color is a spectacular sight that can only be enjoyed during this special time of year.
