The 68th Towada Summer Festival Fireworks Display

Now in its 68th year, the Towada Summer Festival Fireworks Display lights up the city's summer skies.

Around 2,500 fireworks will be launched, while food stalls line the streets of the government district, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

Come and enjoy one of Towada’s beloved summer traditions with your family and friends.

【Date&Time】

August 14, 2025 (Thursday)

Live Streaming: Begins at 7:00 PM

Fireworks Launch: Begins at 7:10 PM

In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Friday, August 15 or Monday, August 18.

If further postponement is necessary, the fireworks will be rescheduled in coordination with relevant organizations and held by Tuesday, September 30 at the latest.

【Viewing Areas】

・West-side stands of the Towada City Track and Field Stadium

・Pedestrian zone along the Government Office Street (Kanchogai Street) in Towada City

【Important Notes】

・Please refrain from disruptive behavior, including illegal parking.

・Food and vendor stalls will be set up along Government Office Street (Kanchogai Street).

・For everyone’s safety, the use and bringing of small unmanned aircraft (such as remote-controlled helicopters or drones) into the venue is strictly prohibited.

・After the fireworks display, please take your garbage (such as empty cans and paper waste) home with you.

・Parking and restroom facilities at Chuo Hospital are not available for non-patients.

※On the day of the fireworks festival, restricted areas and traffic regulations will be in place.
